- Q: What does a registry on NewlyWish look like?
- A: Each registry contains the couples’ names, event type (Wedding, Housewarming, etc), date and location. Here’s a sample: http://www.NewlyWish.com/registry/amanda_robard_wedding%202010
- Q: Are there any fees associated with using your service?
- A: No, our service is free to use and there are no fees associated with creating a registry or any fees for your friends & family that buy gifts from your registry.
- Q: Can I shop on the site even though I don’t have a registry?
- A: Of course! We are a registry as well as a traditional online shopping site. Shop til your heart’s content.
- Q: Can I buy a gift from a registry and then continue to shop for myself?
- A: Yes! What’s neat about our system is that you can purchase a gift from a registry and then continue to add products to your shopping cart as you wish. At checkout, you’ll even have the option of sending the gift directly to the registrant, as well as putting in your own personal shipping address for products you want sent to you. So, one checkout, two shipping addresses. Nifty, right?
- Q: How do people find out that I have a registry on NewlyWish?
- A: There are two ways that people can find your registry:1) Once you create a registry, you can share the URL (your own personal link) that leads people directly to your registry. If you have a wedding homepage or a site that includes all your wedding details, we highly recommend adding a link to your NewlyWish registry to this page.2) Folks can ‘Find a Registry’ and search by the registrant's first and/or last name
- Q: Can I return items that I purchase through NewlyWish?
- A: Generally, yes. Each shop has their own return policies (which you can find on each shop’s home page on NewlyWish). Returns will be accepted anywhere from 1-12 months, depending on the shop. However, custom items (e.g. monogrammed products) are generally final sale. Please refer to each shop’s polices or call us at 212.348.6115 with any questions.
- Q: What is your registry completion program all about?
- A: After the date of a wedding has passed, the registrant has the option to purchase all remaining products from their registry at 10% off. This is a one-time purchase and must be made within 12 months of the wedding date. So, we recommend you keep your registry filled with even more than what you might need so you can take advantage of our discount!
- Q: Can I buy a gift certificate for someone that doesn’t have a registry on NewlyWish?
- A: Yes! Simply to go: http://www.newlywish.com/merchant/newlywish/product/NWGC Put the email address of the person you would like to send the gift certificate to. They will receive the gift certificate electronically.
- Q: Do your gift certificates expire? And are there fees associated with gift certificates?
- A: There are no fees associated with giving gift cards and they never expire.
- Q: Can I include NewlyWish products on a “universal” registry?
- A: Yes, you can include any NewlyWish product on a universal registry. Simple go to the product you’d like on NewlyWish and add it.
- Q: Can I create a registry with NewlyWish regardless of where I live?
- A: As long as you provide us a U.S. shipping address, you can create a registry with us, regardless of where you live.
- Q: If I don’t live in the US right now, but plan to move to the States after my wedding, can you hold my gifts until after the wedding date?
- A: We are happy to make special arrangements for you. Please call our office at 212.348.6115 and speak to us about holding products for you.
